Sprint will launch the Motorola’s PHOTON 4G Android Smartphone on 31 July. As Sprint’s first international 4G Smartphone, the PHOTON 4G supports not only the carrier’s WiMAX 4G and CDMA EVDO network, but also quad-band GSM / EDGE and triband WCDMA 3G network, making it a true global phone. After numerous leaks and speculation, Motorola finally formally announced the droid 3.

Verizon announced the next generation DROID Smartphone, the new DROID 3 by featuring a side-slide full QWERTY keyboard. While its predecessor Droid /Milestone and DROID 2/Milestone 2 come with a 4-row keyboard, the new DROID 3 has a 5-row keyboard, adding a dedicated row for numbers. It is powered by a dual-core processor running at 1 GHz with 512 MB of RAM and runs Android 2.3 OS.
