After numerous leaks and speculation, Motorola finally formally announced the droid 3.
This Smartphone is a global version of Milestone 3, which was launched in China three weeks ago. In the U.S., Droid 3 using a carrier Verizon. Verizon has also opened up pre-orders for DROID 3 for $ 459.

Verizon announced the next generation DROID Smartphone, the new DROID 3 by featuring a side-slide full QWERTY keyboard. While its predecessor Droid /Milestone and DROID 2/Milestone 2 come with a 4-row keyboard, the new DROID 3 has a 5-row keyboard, adding a dedicated row for numbers. Recent rumors say that Samsung is in the release plan a new version of Galaxy S II. In later releases new version of the Samsung will upgrade a dual-core processor upgrade in Galaxy S II Update from from 1.2 GHz. Upgrading the processor would also be accompanied by the addition of NFC technology for mobile payment.
