The company announced on its Facebook page that it would be closing down operations of its service. From 8 August customers will not be able to make calls or send texts to people on other networks, although they will still be able to receive calls and texts.
By 12 August customers will be unable to make calls and send texts to those on the JUST Mobile network, rendering the network practically useless. All services will stop on 19 August and customers will have until 31 August to move to a new network before all services of the company and the company itself are terminated completely.
The company has posted a number of messages on their Facebook page thanking all its staff and customers for their loyal service.
“Dear all, unfortunately it is true, JUST Mobile is winding down it’s service. We wish we had more time to alert people of certain elements of the service being shut down but we didn’t have it. Details are available on the comreg.ie site and we will post them here also. Thanks to everyone that has supported us, we very much appreciate it and apologise if we’ve let you down. JM”.
“This is something no one wanted. We believe we created something special for our customers, but unfortunately the business climate is not conducive for young companies to raise capital in.
“We want to thank our partners and customers for their support and wish every other young company in Ireland well in their endeavours.”
JUST Mobile’s unique selling point was that they sold phones and sim cards in convenience stores, allowing them to offer a cheaper network to customers as they did not have to deal with owning outlets.
